February 26th News

Posted February 26, 2024

Hello Manual Families,

I wanted to use this week’s communication to remind us all of our collective goals for the 2023 – 2024 school year. We are nearing the end of Quarter III and if we all continue to push hard together we will see great levels of student achievement.

Celebrations:

1. Shout out to the 11th graders whose SAT average from October to February grew from a score of 807 to an average score of 834. That is great growth from October to February. Shout out to the 10th graders whose SAT average score from October to February grew from October Average: 739 in October to 776 in February.

2. Shout out to the boys Basketball Team who once again qualified for the State Basketball Tournament. The boys team will play Platte Valley on Friday, March 1st. Time TBD.

3. Shout out to the nearly 50 families who came to quarter three conferences last week. That was our highest attended quarter three conferences in years! Thank you for coming!

Community Priorities:

1. Attendance: Our attendance goal for the year is 83%. We can do it! It will take all of us working with our students and advisees to remind them of the importance of attendance.

2. Restorative Practices: We know that inclusion and safety happens through connection and conversation. Remind your students to find an administrator or dean to schedule a restorative conversation if they are need a conflict mediation.

3. Student Achievement: We can grow students when they are present and feel safe and connected to their teachers and have rigorous and meaningful work every day.
