Hello Manual Families,
This week was all about College and Career Readiness at Manual. Just for perspective our students visited or had representatives from the following colleges this week:
Our students also took the PSAT or SAT and other tests to help determine if they are college and career ready. At Manual, we are serious about preparing students for their college and career dreams and this week was an amazing testament to our focus on making sure students are prepared to succeed upon graduation.
Mark Your Calendars:
November 20th – 24th: Thanksgiving Break
November, 26th: Quarter II Conferences from 4:00 – 7:00. This evening will also include our Black Excellence Family Meeting #2 and the Title 1 Meeting. Schedule released soon.
December, 8th: Winter Showcase and Posada Community Night from 4:00 – 9:00
December, 14th: Last Day of Quarter II for Students
Community Focus:
8:20 Arrival in the Morning: When possible, please support your students arrival at Manual by 8:20 in the morning. We are seeing an increase in period 1 tardies and having students arrive by 8:20 will help them get to class on time which starts at 8:30. We can do this together.
Important Updates:
Families at Manual: Manual has a new parent group called Families at Manual (FAM). This important group has been created to support parent engagement at Manual and to support our students be successful on and off campus. If you are interested in joining FAM or would like more information please do not hesitate to reach out to Linn Stanley at linnstanley@gmail.com
As always, it is an absolute joy working with and for your children each and every day. They bring so much excellence to school with them on a daily basis and I am honored to lead this community.
