Hello Manual Families,
We had a remarkable successful week of school and testing. I am so thankful for the hard work that our students put in on the PSAT and SAT. They were engaged, focused and excited to show what they know on the test and I am confident that their effort will result in increased opportunities students and increased stability for Manual. Thank you all so much for helping your students get to school on our testing on Thursday. Below is just a reminder of our focus areas for this year. The year is not done yet and I want to make sure we all push hard together to accomplish these goals.
Major Improvement Strategies for 2023 – 2024:
1. Attendance: Our School-wide Goal for 2023 – 2024 is 83% and we’re currently sitting at 85%. Yay!
2. Restorative Practices: A reduction in suspensions and increased student engagement due to deeper relationships. Currently, we have a 30% reduction in suspensions this year. Amazing!
3. Achievement: Growth on assessments and reduction of F’s through increased engagement. Now is the time to start improving any failing grades. We are going for a reduction of F’s by 30% this quarter.
