Hello Manual Families,
This upcoming week is significant for Manual’s students and for our community. Students will take the PSAT/SAT on Thursday, April 18th and their progress on this assessment is important for them and their goals after high school and for Manual to move off of the state accountability clock for the first time since 2008. As a school and community we have come so far and it is important that we all come together this week to support our student’s growth and effort on the SAT. Please encourage them to do their best and push their hardest on Thursday. I believe in them and believe in Manual.
Announcements:
Manual’s Drive for 95%: All 9th – 11th graders will be taking the PSAT/SAT on Thursday, April 18th. This test is of essential importance for students and what they desire to do after high school and for Manual’s opportunity to exit the State Accountability Clock for the first time since 2009. It is essential that 95% of our students take this test and do their absolute best in order to support their growth and Manual’s overall stability.
Morning Tardies: Manual is still seeing students arriving late in the morning. While our overall attendance is high, our morning tardy rate is a concern. Please support Manual by making sure students arrive by 8:25 as much as possible in order to maximize learning time throughout the day.
Attendance: Our attendance has dipped at the start of Quarter Four and is at 80% for the quarter. We need to have a better week of attendance to meet our Quarter Four goal of 83%. Every day matters for learning and a strong Quarter Four will set students up for success at the start of the 2024 – 2025 school year.
