Return to School As health conditions have frequently changed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adjusted to address the needs and safety of our students, families, and staff.

Based on new data and guidance we received from our local health experts, as of July 17, we believe it is prudent to delay returning to school in person. All DPS students will now begin the 2020-21 school year in remote learning, with a delayed first day of remote school on Aug. 24.

The soonest we would consider a gradual return to in-person learning would be Sept. 8, just after Labor Day. This applies to all district-run, innovation, and charter schools in our district. Please learn more about our safe and gradual return to in-person school here.
