About 1SG (R) Eric E. Posey: First Posey serves as the Military Science Teacher (AKA, Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp Instructor for Manual High School since 2007). First Sergeant Posey is a distinguished retired Army Veteran of 22 years.


Some of his awards include the Bronze Star Medal and the Drill Sergeant Badge. His education includes an Associate of Arts degree from Central Texas College, a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education degree from The State University of New York. First Sergeant Posey is a member of the Salute Veteran National Honor Society.


Under his dynamic leadership, our JROTC program has achieved Back-to-Back recognition as a Gold Star Program; Honor unit with distinction, which is the highest recognition that a JROTC program can achieve. First Sergeant Posey was a recipient of “The Stellar Performer of the Year award (Salute to Excellence in Education)” in March 2017 because of his excellent work inside and outside of the classroom.


Among his many distinctions, he is the proud husband of the lovely Mrs. Pamela Posey for 33 plus years, a Father, Published author, Coach, Teacher, Counselor, Preacher, and Mentor. He enjoys reading, writing, and listening to music. His dedication to our school, all students, community, and commitment to bridging the gap between families and community engagement is evident by the work he does as our Army JROTC Instructor.
