As Principal Leaders at three Denver Public Schools that serve diverse student populations, including a large population of students of color, we commit for the 2017-18 school-year to:

A sustained focus on social justice through community programming, and rigorous culturally responsive instruction that leads to college and career readiness

Deep and meaningful peer to peer mentoring with mentorship supports

Working to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline
by committing to school wide restorative justice/approach practices that aim to deescalate student infractions in a way that teaches and keeps our students in our classrooms instead of entering our juvenile and adult court systems

A commitment to making our schools safe sanctuaries that continue to focus on strong supports for DACA students and families

A commitment to expand Arts and Music programming in our schools and school communities

Strengthening our neighborhood families by offering
free bi-monthly parenting/ guardian support sessions that provide resources, knowledge and important training and planning support aimed at helping parents/guardians ensure the success of their DPS student(s).
