My Tech Program

Manual was selected to be one of the 14 schools to receive  1:1 devices for our students! Each student may check out a Chromebook for the 2019-20 school year with a signed contract by parent/guardian.  The My Tech Insurance fee is $20.

Each device, case and charger and Hot Spot (if applicable) must be returned if transferring or at the end of the school year.

Charging & Care

Bring it to school and every class fully-charged, every day!
Keep it in its case.
Leave your charger at home —
there are chargers at school if you need them. If you borrow one from school, they must be returned!
Please do not allow anyone else to use your chromebook.
Do not place anything between screen and keyboard and then close it, screen will crack.
Please keep it on your person or locker while at school.
DO NOT Charge your phone or any other device using your chromebook, this will damage the battery!

Damage & Loss

Did you lose it or break it?
Damaged or non-functioning Chromebooks should be given to the school’s Technology Representative so a repair can be started. Many problems can be repaired at the school by district staff, which may take a day or two. Other problems may require the Chromebook to be sent out for repair, which can take several days or longer. Schools will have additional Chromebooks on-hand to loan to students in these circumstances.

Students and parents/guardians will be responsible for DPS-owned technology property that is issued to them, just as they are for other DPS-owned items, such as textbooks, calculators, musical instruments, athletics equipment or library books. DPS will repair or replace the Chromebook, but students and parents may be responsible for the cost.

Your Chromebook will automatically connect when you are at school. How to connect away from school — in the
bottom right corner of your screen, click on the wifi symbol to see the available networks. Click to join the network, and you’re on your way!
